    Round One:

We would like to remind you that deadlines form most categories are around the corner. Most Round one submission are not too demanding and normally entail only the beginning part of your projects. For details of what to submit for round one of your category please visit the rules and regulations page of your category or click the following corresponding category links below. Be sure to look at the judging criteria included on the consequent category page.

    CodePlex:

You may not know that Microsoft is joining hands with the OpenSource Community and is very much focused on interoperability with OpenSource Software. http://Port25.technet.com and http://Codeplex.com  are portals dedicated to the open source community and anyone interested in interoperability. While Port 25 is your location for assistance and dissections with fellow developers and designers, CodePlex is your open source project hosting web site. You can download projects that may help you in your application or upload your project to be recognized and used by others.

Did you ever spend long hours thinking about software design, security problems and of course how to improve end user's usability? Why not lowering the barrier for installing (trying out) your software - using a common technology. This project will enable you to build a Windows Installer package for your Web Application within 30 minutes- by only utilizing open source software.

    The following technologies are supported:

             Scripting:

    Databases:

    • Microsoft SQL Server (2005 and 2008)
    • MySQL

For more information about this installer please visit

There will be a guest speaker this Saturday to present interoperability, port 25, and CodePlex  as well as answer your questions.
